5K a year Summary Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Specialist has the ability to inspect, coordinate and monitor production and process for accuracy, and confirms that products meet quality standards across all Steele Solutions locations.
Additionally, proposes measures and assist Quality Manager with the implementation of quality policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works with Design, Engineering, IT and Manufacturing to define and improve design, system and manufacturing processes.
Present D/W/M/Q - Quality reports and trends for SQDC Develops, improves and works within QMS software Prepares qualification test plans and procedures based on requirements Reviews, compiles and analyzes information to prepare reports Responsible for the development and documentation of work instructions, process and procedures Designs or specifies inspection methods, testing tools and devices.
Oversees qualification activities and writes qualification test reports.
Implement intervals and content for internal/external audits of procedures and processes.
Investigates and implements corrective action for process and hardware problems.
Ensures compliance with all housekeeping procedures and all quality and safety regulations.
Designs and implements quality assurance sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques Maintains criteria and record systems, to include NCR, CPAR and Customer Complaints Work with PM/Sales to resolve customer complaints arising from quality issues.
Supports production operations in critical production situations Ensures products meet defined specifications and standards Qualifications Education and Experience Associates degree or High School and equivalent experience required Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance documenting, qualifying and analyzing data, preferably in a steel manufacturing environment ASQ - CQT or CQPA preferred Knowledge of ISO9001/AS9001 quality systems preferred.
Knowledge of AWS Welding Code helpful General skills Detail orientation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organizational and analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required, BI experience preferred Experience working within a QMS system (Qualio, Pilgrim, QCBD) preferred Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to develop and present critical information to company leaders Ability to work independently Leadership skills Ability to travel between all SSI locations (Wisconsin and Ohio) Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
